Focus On The Process Not The Money

There is a phenomenon in Information Product Marketing that is causing about 98% of people to fail. I know this is not what you were expecting to read but in order for you to be part of the 2% (or less) that succeeds you must understand why the majority are failing.

Wherever you are right now, I know I can help you. I have personally worked with many people just like you, all at different stages of their Information Product dream, some were complete newbies, some a bit overwhelmed with the task ahead, whilst others so disillusioned I had to almost shake them awake to the golden opportunities in their hands.

That reminds me of an age-old story…

Caught by the gold rush days many, many years ago a man was richly rewarded for all his digging efforts with only his pick, shovel and his dream. He had discovered the shining ore and literally struck Gold!

With help from his family and friends they got the money together to buy the necessary machinery to bring the ore to the surface. It was proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado.

He was moving more towards being debt free and before long very healthy profits.

Suddenly…the vein of the gold ore disappeared. They continued desperately drilling on but to no avail – there was no more gold and they decided to quit!

They sold all the equipment to a junk man for a small fee and went home. The junk man however, called in a mining engineer to look at the mine.

In mining, fault lines can often re-appear and that was exactly the case in this situation. With his expert knowledge, clear thinking and focussed concentration on the process, the engineer could calculate the gold ore would appear just 3 feet from where the digging had stopped – and that’s where it was discovered!

We can learn some very important lessons from this “dream to disaster” story,  for you to master Information Product wealth:

#1 – The man focused only on the money.  A dream is nothing more than a fantasy that subconsciously transports you to your perfect world. One where you are already an Information Product Millionaire with many houses across the world, nice cars and more money than you could ever spend in your life time.

That’s all the man saw when he found the gold… ‘his dream’… his dream of financial freedom and living happy ever after.

But…

He hit a problem that slammed him back into reality – what happened to the never ending gold he so vividly saw in some far off future he had imagined?

Perhaps your Information Product dreams are yet to be realised.

And there’s still time to make your dreams your reality – if you want to?

It’s easy to focus just on the money you’ll make from your Information Products because of the successful people you have seen, read about and even met. The inspiration that perhaps made you take this step in the first place.

What happened is your subconscious started jumping for joy and spending the money you dreamt you had already made.

Perhaps reality has hit and you’re feeling like all you’ve got in your hand is pennies, not millions?

Think again…you’re only a few feet (or steps) from your gold; you’ve just got to know what to do and how to do it – The Actual Process.

Focusing on the Process will inevitably make your dreams, your reality.

# 2 – The man gave up too soon. I’m sure you’ve heard, ‘Quitters never win and winners never quit’! If you give up prematurely, you’re leaving a lot of ‘Gold’ for someone else to become rich. And all for what, because you found things tougher than your dream made you believe? So you move on to the next thing and guess what?… déjà vu!  If you continually repeat the same pattern you’ll only ever have a distant dream!

Quitting is not an option for those that are serious about building wealth and financial freedom.

# 3 – He lacked experience. If you notice the junk man got help to give him more information rather than relying on his own skills and knowledge. By getting an expert’s opinion the junk man was led directly to where the gold would reappear. We often think we ‘know’ and can ‘do it ourselves’ but you get greater leverage and much better results when you enlist the help of an expert, who has experience and knowledge to guide you to your wealth.

Follow the processes and systems of those that have already been successful in the information product business and be led to find your GOLD!
